It's not very often that Moms get vacations, at least not me. Even if you go camping or whatever else with your family, it's still lots of work for the mom. Last weekend I got a true vacation without leaving my kids at home with out me. I headed down to see my parents in Abbotsford, and was so taken care of that it really felt like a vacation. Thanx Mom and Dad! I got to see a whole bunch of my friends, whom I have missed very much since moving all over the world these past two years. It was so great to connect again, I hope they felt the same way. I didn't see everyone of course, but quite a few. Luckily the roads there and back were clear. It snowed big time the day after we got home, so I feel fortunate that we came home when we did. I even got to spend time with family in Kelowna on the way back, so I feel like I got my money's worth out of the gas it took to travel home.
Here is a little Malachi story:
This evening the boys have been running all over the house having a blast together. They have been playing hide and seek, and computer, and whatever else. Just before bedtime I offered them neopolitan icecream, and got an enthusiastic YES! So the boys got out bowls and stuff. While they were eating, Malachi kept saying "Malinda". I asked him what he was talking about, and he pointed to his icecream and said it was Malinda. I was confused and probed a little more about what he was saying. Quinten looked at his icecream and stated he only had a tiny piece of Banilla in his bowl. OH!! Malachi was saying Vanilla! He tried then to say vanilla, but it kept coming out Malinda.

You should be proud, Quinten is speaking Japanese! Japanese doesn`t have a "V" in it, so everything V comes out B. eg. Vancouver is "Bancouber". So yes, in Japan, Quinten would eat Banilla icecream!!
That was from Julia, sorry. All the intructions are in Japanese for me.
What great boys you have!!
love them
love you too!
