The End of October

I had the pleasure of hosting family this weekend. We spent a whole bunch of time with Tony's family, since Mom and Dad had been gone for 6 weeks to Paraguy. We are so happy to have them back! The men went hunting to get deer, and ended up getting one the very last day. The ladies and kids stayed home at our house and we finally got to our project of making apple pies. I got to use about half of the apples we picked with my parents a couple of weeks ago (there is still half a laundry basket left of apples). Friday we peeled apples and froze them. Saturday we made the crusts and put the pies together. We made 15 all together.

Sunday after church we carved pumkins. Each boy had his
own pumpkin. I had them draw what they wanted on the sides of the pumpkins and then I carved them out. The boys drew faces that were impossible to carve so together we altered them so they worked. All the boys were pleased with the results.

With Flash Without Flash

It was fun taking the boys out on Halloween. We spent the afternoon crafting costumes and the took the boys around the Mobile home park before heading to our church for the All Saints Eve Party. Leanne, our Children's ministries director, did a great job planning games and food and the new veggie tales video. We now have way too much candy to consume.
