We started our christmas baking today. The boys wanted to make cookies. They played with some dough and fillied one pan, then thye got tired of it, and so I had the pleasure of rolling all the rest of the dough. We ended up with two large containers of cookies ready to be iced.

I have been amazed at Quinten's interest in writing. He can write his name unassisted now, and has labeled a few books that he wants to be his. He also tagged a few walls at the church this morning, luckily he used water based markers.

While we were baking Quinten found Rowans spelling words for this week. He had seen Rowan writing them yesterday and decided to copy them out. With each word he wrote, he came to ask me what it said, so we had a phonics session sounding out the letters. That boy is gonna be reading on his own before kindergarten!

Rowan has been doing well in his spelling tests 8/10 for the past two weeks and 9/10 today. Great job Rowan! Rowan also has very nice hand writing as you can see here.

Baking...don't think I'll get that in this year. I am hoping to make some perogies, but when to do it, that's the question.
Looks like the boys are having fun, though.
I'm impressed with Quin and Rowan's writing endeavours. As soon as I read about that, I started bragging about my smart nephews to my co-workers. Keep it up, kids!
Miss you all. Looking forward to seeing you before Christmas.
Love Beth
