Traditions

How many times do you have to do something to make it a tradition? Well we have carved pumpkins with my nephews two years in a row now. This year there's an extra nephew and the boys all have new skills. Rowan carved his all by himself this year, and Quin carved the face by himself.




Another tradition that is forming is that the Janzen family men go hunting about this time of year. Last year Dad shot a deer, this year it was tony's trophy. The men spent Monday butchering the deer in our garage! they bought a meat grinder and made the meat into sausage. They spent all afternoon today making the sausage, and Tony is still smoking it in the smoker he built in my garden.Tanya got pics, so I'll have to get them from her.
