Happy Mothers Day

We had a great mothers day with Breakfast in bed of corn pops and a kindergarten grown marigold, and card from Quin. Quin and Malachi did breakfast all on their own and Quin carried it in on a serving tray all by himself, with milk in the bowl even! Tony had a card for me that sang "My girl" when you opened it, which he left on the kitchen table for me to find. They had carnations at church for the moms. For Lunch we headed to Comox to find Sushi for lunch to take to the park by the marina, but we didn't find any sushi places there. So we picked up deli sandwiches and Salads, and had a great picnic on the grass at the park. We played a little soccer, and relaxed while the boys played on the playground. We then went for a walk down the wharf and looked at boats and saw jelly fish and schools of fish in the water. I took pics on Tony's phone, but I don't know how to get them from there to here. I lost our regular camera on the ferry last weekend:( Anyway, After our walk we went and had Gelato at a great place in Comox, and had the best Italian Coffee I've ever had. We then came home, and spent the afternoon puttering around the garden, and hanging out with the boys. Then Tony and I took a motorbike ride to the place that people say is the best for sushi in Courtenay, and bought sushi there. It's a grocery store, but they made out sushi right there, and it really was great. (Rowan is 11 now and we left him in charge at home for a half hour while we went for the ride) It was a great day, the boys had fun, and went to bed well. Malachi was asleep 5 seconds after hitting the pillow!

Ya, I guess Rowan is babysitting age! I started babysitting for other people when I was 12. Now I think, why did they let me take care fo their children?! LOL
Glad you had a good Mother's Day!
