Strange Cat

A strange thing happened yesterday. I came home from Christmas shopping, and went into our storage area that has stairs down to the crawl space below our townhouse. There on the landing was a small strange cat! There was noway that cat came in through the front door, and even if it had there is no way that it could have gotten into that space cause the door is always closed since we need to keep our cat out of it. We were baffled. When we tried to catch the cat it ran back into the crawl space and we couldn't get it, so Tony left the door unlatched and we waited till it came out on it's own. It did, and headed straight for Cloudy's food. We were racking our brains, trying to figure out how it got in, since there seems to be no access from the outside. It was a scrawny thing and we wondered if it had been there all along since we moved in, but that couldn't be. We looked down there when we moved in and it would have shown up before now. We caught it and put it out the back. It didn't go away. It just kept pawing at the sliding door. I figured I would go ask the neighbours if it was theirs. She belongs to the first place I went, and her name is Salem. She had gotten into their crawl space and must have found a way into ours. The Land Lady said that was impossible since there is no access between units... Well it got in there somehow! She said that if it happened again, we should call her right away, and she would make the neighbours go down there and fill in the hole.
