My mom herniated a disk in her back and is awaiting surgery. She has needed a lot of extra help, but still wants to read to the boys. She's getting better and better as we have been here this week, but she's on the max dose of morphine, so it's not like she's healing quite yet.
Christmas eve my family got together and we kids did all the prep for our traditional brunch. The boys help make apple cider. The men all pitched in too, so it wasn't a huge job for any of us.
Grandpa told the Christmas story with a story that had pictures for some of the words so the boys could help read too.
