Church Famliy Camp

Our church has gone to Gardom Lake Bible Camp every year for our family camp for the last eon. This year Tony, and Leanne (our Children and Youth ministries Director) did all the planning. I did the worship and we decided not to have a formal speaker. There were four sessions over the weekend. Each session had worship, a testimony, and a video clip of Rob Bell. Our theme for the weekend was practicing the Dicipline of Celebration and we used Kevin Boese's song "Bring on the Joy" as our theme song. There were four couples from our church who Tony had asked to share about what God has been teaching them. All of them were so great. The things God has been doing here are amazing. One of our friends has been miraculously healed of her extreme fatigue that has plagued her over the last year. She and her Husband shared friday night, about how God has become real to them. They Know that He can Do ANYTHING! Another couple joined our church family in January and have become dear to us. They shared on Saturday morning how accepted and loved they feel at ABC. Saturday night one of our ladies in leadership shared about what God has been teaching her, and shared how God is working in her husbands life (who couldn't join us that night) He suffers from migrains, but has felt them subsiding as the elders, and church body are continuing to pray for him. Sunday, the couple from Willow Park Church in Kelowna, who are mentoring the leadership of ABC, shared about how God is working through ABC to teach them things, and about their missions trip to Spain they recently got back from. Our worship team finally gel'd after playing three sets, and the worsip this morning was exciting. Our people are learning to let go of their inhibitions and allow god to move us to prayer, to sing, and to dance!
