Camp Bob
We are spending half our summer at Camp Bob. It's summer camp at it's simplest. No buildings, no electicity, no hot water, just out door adventure! ...which actually turns out to be quite a feet (sp?). Tony is running the Campfire Leadership Training (CLT) program for the first session of three weeks. The boys and I are along for the ride and have done week one of the program. Quin and Malachi got to be campers at the 6-8 yr old day camp and one overnighter. They went over to the main camp to be campers and came back to our side for the night except for the overnighter which they spent in the main camp.
Murray is loving camp. He has had more freedom in the last week than he has ever had. Free run of the forest. He has been great. He had explored, but stayed close to us mostly. Next week however, there will be campers there all week and he will have to be more closely monitored. He can't be allowed to be at the big camp with out us. Behind Murray you can see the main camp "building" a outdoor kitchen and area for tables and the deck for sitting to look out at the lake. On the right of the Chalet a little creek and across that and up the hill is the CLT camp where we are staying It has a smaller out door kitchen and one table with Tent cabins for the Leaders in training. You can't even see any of the tents from the dock where I was sitting.
Quinten loves to Kayak. He's getting really good at it!
Our home away from home. Tony and I are in this tent with the boys in a smaller tent beside it. I'll get better pics of it this week.
Boat day for the CLTs. The group got to try a lot of different boat pulled fun, knee boarding, wake boarding, tubing, bannana boating and skiing. Quin and Malachi got to try too. Malachi preferred to ride in the boat, Quin tried everything!
