Fathers Day Weekend

It's been a very busy weekend. Thursday, Was Quin's class trip to Miracle Beach. It was sunny this time and I was prepared for cloudy...oh well.
Friday Tony and I took a day trip to Abb to get some papers signed at the bank. It was a day of comical misfourtune. We both set our alarms the night before and had plans to get out the door by 6:45 to drop the boys off at the petty's and catch the 8:30 ferry. At 7:22 Quinten knocks on our bedroom door to ask a question. I woke up and realized that we had slept in. I got up to call Lisa and in that very minute Lisa called and we decided we would catch the 10:30 instead and we would drop Malachi off and then take Quin to School and Rowan would ride his bike. We managed to get out the door, and kids to their places and got to the ferry in time for the rain to start. We stood in the rain waiting for the ferry, getting drenched. The ferry ended up 45 minutes late. We called my partents to let them know about us not making out 11:30 appointment, and to reschedual for 2:00. We got off the ferry at 10 to 1 and needed gas, so Tony got off the hwy and headed into north Van to find gas, that wasn't too hard, but then the road that Tony thought would take us back to the hwy, actually took us straight into down town. We did end up back at the hwy, at Main street. We got to our appointment at 2:15 and signed the papers. We were toally exhausted and I was feeling like I couldn't go another minute on the back on the bike. We could have headed straight back and caught the 5:00 but we decided we needed a break and some food, so we went to White Spot with my parents and had coffee at their house. A little rest and some good coffee went a long way and we got to the ferry and back home by 10:30.

Yesterday we went to the low tide. More pics on my facebook.

Today the boys woke us up to a restaurant set up in our kitched with a menu and everything. Quinten was the waiter, Rowan was the chef and Malachi was the "guesser" I'm still not sure what that is. Anyway, we were served fruit salad (which I facilitated with a few suggestions) and coffee which Tony brewed, and toast. It was great they were so exctied to do something specail for Fathers day. Both Rowan and Quin made Fathers day gifts for Tony and forgot them at school...oh well. After church, we went out to camp Bob for a picnic with a few families from church. It was very windy and cold in the shade, but fun in the sun with a bon fire. The boys went swimming anyway, and had a great time, but got very cold. They warmed up at the fire. We had a popcorn dinner and the boys played out side before bed. Great day. Tony really loved it.

Hey Bekah,
I love your pictures, but I get so dizzy trying to read what you wrote with the pictures zooming in and out like that!

WOW!! Does the fun never end at your place??? Boy would we LOVE to be hanging with you guys. I mean, sure we've got our own beaches here in K-town, but... the IMPERATIVE PHRASE in that previous sentence was "with you guys"!! We sure miss you all.
Zach is asking at least every other day if we can visit Malachi. We'll see what we can do. But PLEASE book us into a couple of your days when you come this way at the end of July. We'll PAY YOU IF WE MUST!!

love T
