Ok so we made it a week ago plus a day. It's been quite the ride. We insured my parents car, which is off the road since my mom hasn't been able to drive lately, and the boys and Inrgid and I came over to the island on Monday afternoon. We came to check out the house, got some dinner and waited around for Tony and Andy and Dan to make it out here. They got over around 10:30 and we had a whole bunch of people out to help unload! Thanks Black Creek Youth!! Tuesday we did a whole bunch of unpacking and the boys started school. Quin is in his buddy Dakota's K-1 split class, and Rowan is in a 5-6 split with a great bunch of students. They are both loving it.
We brought Mom J to Nanimo Thrusday afternoon to catch a ride with her inlaws over to Abb. My parents came Thursday night around midnight. Friday we took them down to the spit for a weiner roast and a Good Friday Lesson with the boys. We put up a cross there. I don't know if it will stay up, but thats ok.

Saturday we painted eggs and the boys took turns hiding them for eachother. They ended up in mush and weren't much use for our easter egg hunt, but the boys had fun.

We also baked easter cookies; those pilsbury bunny ones. Talk about an easy craft that the boys loved. No messy dishes. Just yummy cookies:)

We had a great weekend and celebrated Easter with a sunrise service on the beach. Beautiful! It didn't rain till the afternoon. We had a great Paska and Fruit Breakfast at the church. I made wheatless Paska and shared with a number of other wheatfree eaters:) I really missed being at ABC for Easter. I heard it was really great, it would have been good to be with old friends...but we did enjoy our new friends.
Sunday night I came down with the flu. We said goodbye to my parents Monday at noon, and I slept the rest of the day. Tony started feeling terrible last night and has spent the day on the couch. he had to cancle his first Youth night, and a few meetings he had today. I'm feeling better now, and will need to go make dinner.
Tell me how your Easter was. I'd love to hear from every one!

Hi! So nice to hear you guys are getting settled. We missed you too but we're excited about what's in store for you in Black Creek. We took it pretty easy this weekend - had a little scare with the baby possibly coming too soon but everything seems to be fine now. I'm almost a week further along than I was with Haylie and by Thurs. this baby will be considered full term. Yipee!
I'll email you when the time comes and let you know how things go. Is your email address the same?
love to you & hope you're all feeling better!
