Blessings from Heaven
I realized, as I was talking to my friend Kathryn on the phone tonight that I have not updated you on what has happened since our van crash in Feb. We figured we would just drive Tony's little Tempo for a while till we could figure out what to do about a van since we didn't have collision coverage, and would not be getting a new van automatically or getting it fixed with insurance money. The day after we got home from our trip that we crashed on, the starter died on the Tempo, and we were carless. The amazing people of our church immediately sprang into action and we were lent a van that very day. We were told by the wonderful couple that we could use the van till we figured things out, and they would give us a deal on the van if we wanted to buy it. The same day we were offered the use of three other vehicles! We hummed and haaed about what to do cause even with a great deal we really couldn't afford to buy another van, or anything else much less...Still money owing on the van we crashed which we had only had since August. In the mean time there were people getting together to help us out! God provided for us in such an amazing way through our friends here in Armstrong. The couple who lent us the van pulled us aside one Sunday after church and informed us that the van had been bought for us anonymously, and that it was now ours free and clear! We were(are still) so blown away! We are so blessed to have people around us who love us enough to take such great care of us! I don't know what we would have done otherwise. The first winter we were here, the same thing happened for us when we couldn't afford snow tires due to so many expenses in moving and buying a place, and previous debt. We are so blessed! God provides! Thank you to the people who have blessed us so immensely. We will pay it forward. Continue to pray for us that we would have the wisdom and perseverance to continue on in our ministry in Armstrong.
